What is Free Squidoo Ad?

A free Squid Ad? What is that?

The same question I have asked myself today. Have you heard about Monsters and Levels on Squidoo? By reaching level 40 today (Hurray!) I have unlocked a free Squidoo ad!

Squidoo asks you to pick one (just one) of your favourite lenses to run as an ad on our Topic pages. Then click the link to redeem this one-time offer. Great stuff!

Update: Reach level 60 and you will get your 2nd free Squidoo Ad!

Reach level 40! - You will get your first free Squidoo ad!

Earn your first Free Squidoo Ad by reaching level 40. Good luck!

Squidoo Explanation of a Free Squidoo Ad

"Hey, Lensmaster! You're here because you unlocked a tasty treat (better than a tripe sandwich, that's for sure). This is where you can redeem our offer to run your very own Squidoo ad.

Just pick your favourite lens, one you wish more people would see, and we'll put it into rotation in the Featured Lens house ad that runs on the Topics page related to that lens. The lens will stay in rotation for a month, displaying at random, or whenever your astral signs are strong."

Tip from Squidoo Gods

Whether or not people click on your ad is up to you. Make sure your lens intro image is mouthwatering, make your lens title super relevant to the topic, and catchy, so catchy that the fish jump. (But please, stay away from changing your lens title to something dumb like CLICK HERE AND I'LL DO YOUR DISHES or something). After all, you're only hurting your lens with a title like that.

Squidoo has a surprise for you!

Reach level 60 and you will have one more opportunity to advertise your lens in the Top Lists page. You'll be featured again! Who said it's one-time opportunity?

For my 2nd Free Squidoo Ad, I have chosen this lens. I had a dream ......I'd love this lens to be a LOTD!
